I think Jake is doing a good job as a juror. I’m sure he felt honored and never the ODD MAN OUT, Boston “journalist”, thanks very much.
And if what Jake said during this interview about turning 30 is true, that his ultimate goal is film-making, then I think this is also a good opportunity to mingle with experienced directors and get to see how the “world cinema” works opposite Hollywood’s.
My hope is that before he decides to turn his career towards directing, he will be asked to star in a European film. Maybe by François Ozon, who I admire immensely.
