Jake Gyllenhaal among others set for a celebration of Paul Newman’s dream

Performances will include Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated musicians: Owasso resident Trisha Yearwood, Josh Groban and Paul Simon, as well as additional surprise musical performances throughout the evening and appearances by Jake Gyllenhaal and Jimmy Fallon, with more to be announced. Ticket sales from the evening – which is supported by Newman’s Own Foundation and hosted by Joanne Woodward, produced by Kevin Duncan and directed by Josh Rhodes – will benefit Paul Newman’s family of camps and programs supporting children facing serious illnesses from around the world.
As you may all remember, Paul Newman was an old family friend as well as Jake’s godfather.
According to this source Jake will make an appearance at the celebration of Paul Newman’s Dream next April 2, 2012.
The evening will benefit Paul Newman’s Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, which support children facing serious illnesses from around the world.

Yes, I’m glad that Jake was asked to do this and that he accepted. I don’t know much about Paul Newman as a man, but the fact that he and his wife had such a long marriage speaks volumes.
